Taking the Sick Out

I do apologize for my lengthy absence. As you can tell from the video, I've had a bad case of the sick, and the premiere specialists in the field (Drs. Ethan, Isaac, and Lillian Tang) were not immediately available to surgically remove it. With my condition, I've not had the energy to post much, but they finally were able to find the time to treat me. Thanks to their expertise and TLC, I'm finally better and looking forward to posting more often!

O Christmas Tree!

If I were you, I would just ignore what Mr. "135 lbs. and still shrinking" had to say in his comments on my last post. As proof of my incredible might, I refer you to the following photo essay of me single-handedly putting up the Christmas tree two nights ago.





And while you're considering on my brute strength, Mr. Man, consider too that this ain't yo' mama's wussy Scotch Pine scraggly branched excuse for a Christmas tree, neither!

My Ride

Some of you may remember my cycling prowess from UNC days, when I regularly flew around the countryside, either in training or racing, attired in form-fitting silky sleek spandex.

Now that we've moved to Edmonton, things surely have changed, and because of my trusty racing steed's adversity to snowy, icy roads, I have had to store her away for the winter in favor of a more stable, slower version of two-wheeled transport.

But before you laugh at my having had to take a downgrade not only in speed, but also in sexiness (admit it, you like spandex, you know you do!), how cool is it that now I get to ride around town on studded tires? So bring it on old man winter, I'm ready for anything now, aww, yeah!

Snow!

It started snowing lightly Friday evening and it kept falling through most of Saturday. Just a nice, light, fluffy kind of snow. I took this photo at about midnight Saturday night after getting home from work -- there's probably 4 inches on the ground there. This is why I love Edmonton!
